It was a wild and crazy ride, and although I didn't win, I'm absolutely thrilled to have been a part of the first season of The Look. The crowning glory was being at Hotel 1000 with 25 of the most supportive people in the world. I had reserved a Grand Luxe Parlor Suite for the viewing, which sounds pretty fancy right? Well, the concierge had another idea. He upgraded my shindig to the Grand Suite on the 14th floor! I'm not sure I can convey to you how amazing and actually grand the Grand Suite really is.
The concierge even set up an easel with a custom printed sign...
I did my hair + makeup in the beautiful, well lit bathroom...
And then anxiously awaited my guests... I was sworn to secrecy about the outcome of the finale, and although I had neither confirmed nor denied the win, all my friends were convinced I had won and was just keeping quiet. It started to occur to me that I was setting them all up for major disappointment. As the show began to air, I mentioned how glad I was to have had the opportunity and that it doesn't matter if you win or lose. But I was getting nervous! Check out the 4 part finale for yourself in the videos below.
Watching the finale with such supportive friends in the room was as fun as I had anticipated. I was running back and forth between the two viewing rooms to check in with everybody, but when the runway was done and the decision was delivered, there were a bunch of shocked expressions! I really had no intention of setting my friends up for disappointment, I just wanted them all to experience the show without knowing the outcome. Luckily, they didn't hold a grudge.
