There's nothing like a long, winding drive into the country to make you feel like a farm girl. Camano Island is one of those "drive-on" islands, which is a lot less work than having to figure out the ferry schedule and wait in line. When I heard about the Summer Retreat Vintage Market, I couldn't wait to head out there.
This is an amazing way to take yourself out of the day-to-day rat race of the city and enjoy some nature and shop vintage. It's so much fun walking around a farm covered in hay in my platform shoes. The main reason I drove all the way to Camano Island early on a Saturday morning was to see my friend Tamila of Urban Farm Naturals and get my fix of her products!
the soaps are so luxurious and smell amazing...
I've used the bath bomb before and it smells heavenly and makes your skin so soft!
my two favorite products: buttery body whip (above)...
...and the buttery lotion bar! I usually have 3 of them at all times: one for my purse, one for my nightstand and now, one for the boat! takes care of even my rough elbows.
There were so many great vendors at this market, I'll definitely be back in the fall. One of my favorite new discoveries was the fabulous Ormolulu. Her booth had on display all of my favorite things: a vintage dress form, huge flowers and a silo cap (which I didn't know I loved until I saw it). Debi is just as nice as can be (and so is her husband) and she just happens to be one of the vendors at my favorite brick & mortar shop, Ruffles & Rust Square in Snohomish.
Mark your calendars for the autumn Retreat Vintage Market in September!

Marked my calendar! Looks like a great marker. :)
