I've been meaning to get to East Madison to check out Vian Hunter for some weeks now since I read about her on NW Source. Lisa Hunter is one of the emerging designers featured in the Seamless in Seattle contest sponsored by Seattle Magazine, as well as a finalist for the next season of Project Runway. If that wasn't enough, she's a talented designer whose House of Fashion features classic styles with vintage appeal in luxurious modern fabrics. On Friday evening, Jennifer and I had a glass of wine at Cafe Flora then walked across the street to view the collection. I used my Hipstamatic iPhone camera app for all these photos, giving them a retro look to go along with Vian Hunter's retro inspired shop!
Lisa was engaging and vivacious, describing the fabrics and the designs, adjusting the models' outfits - even serving appetizers! She mentioned that night she would hear back from the folks at Project Runway over the weekend. You may see her on TV soon... best of luck!
