I just completed the Wardrobe Refashion pledge and posted my last project here. I'm so glad I took the challenge, having met a bunch of interesting people. Becky of Sew-and-so even gave me a shout out... Thanks, Becky! ...and thanks Antoinette for the tip. ;) I just love the blogging community.
And just because I don't like to post anything without photos, check out this dye job on a skirt that was maybe too pink. I used blue & brown Rit dyes mixed together. In the process of washing out the dye, the applique edges softened also, which I like.
You're quite welcome-- thanks for your inspiring sense of style!!
And quite the improvement on the skirt. Of course, I'm biased and think that anything pink is too pink. ;)

Ha! Your timing is rich -- I'm going out right now to buy some Rit dye for my latest refashion! I like the new color much better, but I would have worn the prior color without any argument, LOL!

How did you dye just the dress and not the applique'?

There is a subtle change to the applique color, but it was totally by chance. I think the material that I cut the applique from just didn't take the dye.
